How to permanently delete your Camera Sync account and what happens to your data.

You can permanently delete your Camera Sync account at any time. This guide explains the process and what happens to your data.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in to your dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Account section at the bottom
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Optionally provide feedback about why you're leaving
  5. Type your email address to confirm
  6. Click Delete My Account

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:

  • Account information - Your profile, email, and login credentials
  • FTP credentials - Your username and password for camera connections
  • Uploaded photos - All photos stored in our cloud storage (pending, processed, and failed)
  • Usage history - All sync statistics and upload records
  • Sync settings - Album configuration and preferences

What stays intact

Your photos that have already been synced to Google Photos remain in your Google account. We cannot delete photos from Google Photos - you have full control over those.

To remove photos from Google Photos:

  1. Open Google Photos
  2. Navigate to the Camera Sync album
  3. Delete individual photos or the entire album

Active subscription

If you have an active Pro subscription when you delete your account:

  • Your subscription is automatically canceled
  • You receive a prorated refund for any unused time
  • No further charges will occur

Can I recover my account?

No. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All data is immediately and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

If you want to use Camera Sync again in the future, you'll need to:

  1. Create a new account
  2. Re-connect your Google Photos
  3. Set up new FTP credentials

Disconnecting Google Photos access

When you delete your account, we automatically lose access to your Google Photos. However, if you want to explicitly revoke access:

  1. Go to Google Account Settings
  2. Find "Camera Sync" in the list of connected apps
  3. Click Remove Access

Data retention

After account deletion:

  • Account data is deleted immediately
  • Uploaded photos are deleted immediately
  • Anonymous feedback (if provided) is retained to help improve our service
  • System logs may contain anonymized records for up to 30 days
